Founded in 1979 through bilateral cooperation agreements between the Sultanate of Oman and the French Republic, the Centre Franco-Omanais (CFO) is promoting French language and culture in Muscat. The CFO offers French courses, training in French as a foreign language, and a variety of cultural activities. In addition to French courses, the CFO also provides Arabic courses for those interested in learning or improving their knowledge of the language. The Centre also houses a well-stocked library and a Campus France office, dedicated to guiding and supporting students wishing to pursue their studies in France. The CFO operates under the authority of the Omani Ministry of Education and the French Embassy in Oman, ensuring a strong and lasting partnership between the two countries.
