Join us on March 6th at 7:00 PM as Mr. Ajinou delivers a captivating lecture at the CFO titled “Time: From Relativity to Paradoxes of Time Travel.”

Despite its importance in our daily lives, and even though we experience it every day, time remains difficult to define because of the ambiguity of its designation and the questions it implies. A discussion will focus on the subject, as well as on the “absolutism and relativism” of time, the measurement of time, and the distinction between philosophical and psychological time on one hand and physical time on the other. In connection with the latter, the concept of 4-dimensional spacetime, according to which time and space are interconnected, is explained. Time travel, viewed from an astrophysical scientific perspective, will be addressed. In particular, travels into the future with examples from Einstein’s theories of relativity, as well as travels into the past with associated paradoxes and potential speculative solutions.
