Born in Paris, Barroux spent most of his childhood in North Africa. Upon returning to France, after several years in art schools, Barroux became an art director in advertising agencies. A few years later, he spread his wings and settled in Canada, then the United States, embarking on a brilliant career as a press and children’s illustrator. He contributed to numerous magazines such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, Forbes, and published several children’s books, notably with Viking Penguin Putnam Books.
